>>57035175Scarlet and Violet have good character stories. If you're willing to suspend any sky high expectations, it does feel immersive. Nemona is really likable as rivals go. Arven had probably the most emotionally engaging story. Team Star and Penny are dumb most of the time but the designs are cool and there are relatable character moments. While both have their perks, I lean Scarlet more because I think the ancient Paradox Pokemon are more thematically interesting that the futuristic ones. Terastalizing is definitely a more tactically interesting mechanic than Dynamax, though I really liked the sporting event feel of Dynamax battles in Galar.
