If it was all about the gameplay, I wouldn't even buy the games, I'd just play showdown. The story is part of each gen that makes it worth playing for me. Which is why I hated SwSh.

To be honest, I don't know why you play Pokémon games if you value graphics and performance so much. They've always been sub-par at best in those aspects.
