Firered is from back when videogames weren’t gay, meaning you can just launch the rom directly without having to deal with garbage like the switch menu, install post launch patches etc, the rom is enough.
Firered rom hacking has come so far with decomps that at this point starting over on any other engine would be a waste of time.
Also, if you WANT that to happen, you are the cancer ruining the rom hacking sphere. BDSP is everything hacks should AVOID being. 1/4096 shiny odds, no HMs, broken friendship mechanics, clearly held together with duct tape. Pure slop. That kind of hacks will never be good, people play rom hacks specifically because they don’t like nu-pokemon.
