He's a bit of a cheerleader in the fire run because Blaziken is hard carrying, but he might get his time in the sun v Flannery and Winona. When the Rock run happens we'll just have to see how he does, he'll at least have fire STAB.
In the grog run (no mons introduced in the generation played) he got outclassed by the Vulpix line, so even with the restriction he's choice B. Not the worst mogging that run (Starmie smoked every other water type like a pack of cigarettes) but Magcargo lost his spot to Vulpix, a stage 1. That team ended up as Magneton, Donphan, Skarmory, Starmie, Ninetales, Heracross, the slug barely had a shot.
