It'd be a good way to teach beginning player about type immunities. They've already learned about resistances from fighting the rival, so now they get to see immunities against early Rock types.

HOLY DON'T PLAY THE GAMES ANYMORE
This hasn't been the case for many generations, Public players only know weakness because it's now displayed next to the move, None know the resistances/weakness of dual types, No public players know how terrains works either.
