There's actually a lot that can be talked about regarding contests, like what OP listed and more. There's also already communities for other aspects of the franchise, one that comes to mind is how there's a noticeable community around Ribbons which this would have some overlap with. I remember we used to have Ribbon threads on this board, so this contest general could be good.

Completely agree with you there. The BDSP contests are so far removed from the original idea of contests that it bothers me that they still technically count as contests at all. I unfortunately think it's highly unlikely we'll see contests return to the series, which makes it annoying to me that BDSP might be the last we'll see of contests, the ORAS contests would have been better as the last version of contests if they really don't ever plan on bringing back contests.

My ribbon journey on this Emerald save starts with my Manelectric for the Cool category

No issue whatsoever. Manelectric has been fed with some pokeblocks to raise his stats

Next stop the Super Rank Contest for the Cool category =)

Got to be careful with the Sheen. Once Sheen reaches max, contest stats can't be increased and there's no way to lower Sheen.

But in gen 6, Sheen is ignored, making it much easier to max out all five contest stats in gen 6.

10 years ago I was limited to a DS lite, if I remember right and whatever berries I still had available.
Worst part was when I bought that copy of emerald the previous save was on mirage island next to the Liechi berry but I didn't have the hardware to trade it so I foolishly started over.

At this point, I would probably just be PkHex edit my inventory to give me the berry back. You basically already had it.
I never had the opportunity to get Liechi berry, it's just out of scope random to see Mirage Island

Getting Mirage Island is random but it is based on the Personality Value of all the Pokémon in the Party. So based on that there should be some ways to increase the odds of being able to go there. One thing I can think of is simply having lots of Pokémon and trying them out to see if one lets you go on a given day.
