All starters should be 50/50, it doesn't even matter anymore if you breed them. I'm not even an autist but it'd be nice to get a female starter organically once in a while. It was cool getting a female Feraligatr naturally during a crystal run.

Take it up with Game Freak and TPC. TPC present the media as Game Freak tell them to, so if they're not adding males of a specoies that has a m/f gender ratio in the games, it's because they see the thing as inherently female. Yet per the rest the franchise's presentation, we can assume Meow will be female and the duck and croc male.
Because they didn't show off any male fennekin line or Popplio line in the franchise and the MM Dlephox and Primarina were both female.
