My crobat in emerald has poison fang. It's a totally useless move since there's no fair type and air cutter exists, right? However it does have a 50% chance to poison. What should I swap it for?

Steel Wing

you get a STAB move that can hit rock and electric types for neutral instead of resisted damage
and the chance to poison is great

Oops I meant to write Sludge Bomb but my dumbass brain was thinking of the last time I used a Crobat and it had that move.

Steel wing is fine just play like an NPC and it won't miss. If you hate low acc moves use Aerial Ace.

Youre good bro, I was just being an asshole. I decided against a poison move on crobat, since I'm not staying in to fight an electric or rock pokemon. I'll most likely use confuse ray and swap out. I got rid of it for taunt. It's better on him, especially against Lucy's Shuckle

Fair. Hidden Power is an option if you have a good one but its pretty hard to tell its damage range on a pokemon that you've used.

Secret Power has a 30% chance to paralyze so its not awful. Man I forgot how shallow movepools were in Gen 3 its so good.

Poison’s not bad for neutral coverage when it’s a stab move. 90 BP (135 base power after STAB) physical sludge bombs are pretty good.
If you have a good Crobat and you give it Aerial Ace you won’t have to worry about the Champion’s stupid Ludicolo Double Team cheesing you.
