>>57079669I love Random Battles, but I think it's hindered by the prevalence of missing moves and the potential for bad matchups. When a mon is going to 6-0 you in randoms, you don't have the ability to plan around it in advance. I play a lot of Gen 4, for example, and something like a Deoxys-A sent is either going to take 2 of your mons for free as you try to kill it or it's going to clean up your entire team once they're chipped. I also find that really defensive team compositions (in that you have a lot of complimentary resistances) can be a slog. My least favorite thing in randbats is losing to RNG since your team was random in the first place. You can do everything to maximize terrible mons, come so close, and then get punished for it because some shitter dodges, crits, and gets status effects when they matter. I think Battle Factory is marginally better and showdown should have it for every Gen
