This is one of the only times I've bothered posting on /vp/, I just wanted to see what B/W2 was like in reality and decided to share my opinion on it. One thing I will say I'm disappointed with is WFC being shutdown so a lot of features aren't available anymore.

you're in for the worst stretch of the game, from burgh until skyla you're retreading ground from BW and there are some changes but it doesn't feel as "new" as it should be
thankfully it goes back to being peak after that

The hack I of it I played was fun since it balanced the dex. Overall:
>Strong town theming
>Great soundtrack
>Village Bridge
>Winding routes (way less linear than advertised)
>Triple and rotation battles are theoretically interesting
>Sprite animations are cool
The story isn't very good, but that's par for the course.

I feel like BW2 is worse at this than some other games, where every team looks very similar.
They give you all the few good options early, so there's no reason to actually switch out any of your team. (See: every pokemon recommended for your team itt so far being at the latest Desert Resort)
It's not as samey as some games can be, but it's not great.
It's still a good game, but team composition has been a weaker part of it, at least for me.

Mareep, Magnemite and Growlithe happen to be favorites of mine, I was surprised to find Riolu so early in the game and went with it because of how good Lucario was in Platinum. Everything else is picked either out of necessity or not being interested in anything else I've come across so far. I strongly doubt I'll keep the whole team as is the whole game which is why I'm taking recommendations.
