If your schizophrenic ramblings were true, they'd have not given these anything and instead opted for less popular alternatives. But I already know you'll retroactively redefine popular as literally just the top three mons or something. Only 1/20 of all mons ever got regionals, so stop jumping to retarded delusions. They don't choose the super unpopular ones either, but no one argues that they're trying to "untaint" them like you are. These mons are of mixed popularity. They just pick whatever works well.
