It's an aspect that isn't often considered but some Pokemon have proportions that I would imagine are fucking weird/creepy IRL.
Crobat is a 180cm tall face.

I was playing Alpha Sapphire the other day and when I checked the Dex I honestly got disturbed by Crobat. As someone who is scared of big moths I think I would scream by seeing a Venomoth.

I read some Matsuda or big name notes that Pokemon by default are kind and friendly to people. Like they'll be willing to hang out and cuddle with you if you met one in the wild, and it didn't even say only specific species do this. So unless you're Team Rocket going around whipping Pokemon according to that old source material you wouldn't need to worry about Pokemon hunting or attacking you. Personally this is ignoring hoe the food cycle in the ecosystem and how inherited shared memories from animals transfers from generations making them hostile or autopilot running away, but its fucking Pokemon.

This is blatantly false in both the games and the anime.
In the games you are told in the VERY BEGINNING OF EACH GAME that you cannot go in the wild without your own pokemon for protection.
In the anime, Ash gets nearly killed twice a season and every other movie.

Most people either get their first Pokemon from their parents, like Brock's dad giving him on Onix on his 10th birthday, hatch it from an egg, like Lillie and her Vulpix or Cynthia and her Garchomp, or befriend a wild Pokemon, like Leon did with the Charmander that became his Charizard

It's more of a scientific name thing rather than a cryptid thing otherwise it would be something more like "the area zero jiggly vampire" rather than being named after it's distinctive traits, a loud scream and a large ponytail.
