It's a bad card game though. And it was never supposed to be taken seriously as a game. It was just made to be collectible gacha shit, with dopamine hits from pulling shinies and foils and shit.
If they actually wanted to make a good game they would have designed it around doubles or smogon-like singles with brackets, where the players came with a premade party and the deck was only about using moves and items and not fucking pulling more pokemon or evolving them.
