>>57154640Aggron can't be a wall. The 180 defense stat is useless. Just act like it isn't there. The rock/steel typing means it has 65 base defense when it gets hit by ground or fighting type attacks, then the horrendous special bulk against common Sp. attacking types does the rest. The only dream it has of walling are with its mega, and that similarly suffers from special attacks.
The only good offensive types it resists are psychic and dragon, and the former is doing a shitload of damage by (you guessed it) special attacks. The defensive typing is horrid and it needs to focus on offense.
I'm a purist too so I don't want them to be lazy and change Aggron's unique typing.
Generic tank is possible if you gave it more balanced stats, but Aggron needs to be getting kills and healing off damage. Bottom line. It needs to play more like Scizor. Its offensive typing is meant to hit a shitload of things very hard. You especially want it to hit harder than it gets hit in return by common special attacking types that will also deal massive neutral damage.
First off: Add drain punch and dragon dance, this will make Aggron extremely annoying to face, with or without an assault vest on it. Leftovers/Sitrus will be similarly annoying.
95/130/140/50/70/50 = same BST of 535, or:
90/130/140/50/85/50 = 540 BST
If I had 600 BST to use, without changing its typing:
110/140/140/50/110/50
This is still not a wall, if you can believe it, this is a very hard hitting tank that is not scared of soaking neutral hits.
