What's keeping you from doing that?
>put fainted mons into a cemetary box instead of releasing them
>take a mon out of the box to revive it
>release a mon from your team to sacrifice it (sacrifices cannot be revived)
>optional: release the revived pokemon when it faints (no third chances)

there's way too many pokemon available in each game for that, maybe sacrificing like three or four mons to revive one would be fair and not just kinda cheating

You can always make up your own nuzlocke variant rules. Maybe make it so that the sacrificed mon/mons have to have double the amount of levels of the one your trying to revive?
