Besides I doubt they need the sap to survive, I'd imagine if anything it's a moderately uncomfortable feeling, but hardly lethal...to a Bulbasaur, specifically. To the olive thing, Bounsweet or a much smaller Grass-type with plant traits and few (if any) actual animal traits though they'd be fucked since outside of sap and water, I doubt they'd have much in the form of vital fluids. I'd imagine Bulbasaur would still have blood and a functioning body not related to the bulb on it's back, but the bulb becoming unhealthy would affect things like properly growing, evolving, being able to use grass type attacks that rely on some form of foliage like Razor Leaf/Vine Whip or something like Solar Beam that necessitates gathering sunlight.
