Self explanatory.>Nickits are literal thieves>Zoruas are bothersome pranksters and deceivers>etcPlus there are the IRL inspirations for the pokemon which may influence their typing, like Shiftry which is based off cruel spirits that bear a similar look.
Luxray only kinda fits these things, being a carnivorous pack animal. But that's too generic to make them Dark type alone. If we go slapping the specific types on anything with matching colors then things would get stupid fast.
