I would say he probably is, if only because the "sisters" which there are apparently 400 of them all dress like Lance too, but maybe they're just huge fans of the "dragon master" Zinnia and her clan seem to be a specific and special case though solely about Fug boi and the multiverse. Iris and Drayden don't seem to be related, and Drasna who knows.

Lance and Raihan also wear the same outfit, which according to the anime refers to the fact that they trained together. Not really mentioned in the games, but considering how much in the teraleak was “internal lore” that made it into the anime but not the games, I wouldn’t be surprised if GF considered it canon too.

Probably not. I think dragons just appeal to the trad clan-minded people in pokeworld; combined with dragons required genuine skill/specialism, it makes sense that they'd pass it down the family line to build successively. The kids that didn't have a proclivity or favored some other type simply left the clans, further reinforcing the clan autism.

Also it's not a cult, they're specifically referred to as clans. As in rooted down, expansive families. They're not really recruiting outsiders.

Did you miss the part that they're dragon specialists while every other trainer uses their mom's dog/cat/pigeon? They definitely select the most unruly women around just to see if they can mount and tame them, which in turn produces a stronger, more feral next generation of dragon tamers.

Here is how I always viewed it, assuming they're all related.

>Drasna is Drayden's daughter
>Drasna is Lance's mother
>Hassel is Drake's son and Heir to the Side Clan
>Claire is one of Hassel's sisters (the eldest)
>Iris and Raihan are from a side branch stemming from Drake/Drayden's Uncle, the two being cousins
>Drayton is Claire's son

Yeah, but Lance and her should be a comparable age. Even assuming he's 25 during Gen 1, he'd be 28 for Gen 2/4, and at least 4-11 years pass between Gen 2/4 until Gen 5, making him anywhere from 32-39, and Drasna is 40. They'd have to be siblings.

Part of the recent leaks, so take it as you will. But yeah, I would have assumed she was around 55-56 myself. Even with that anon's list, I think it's safe to assume that there are multiple Dragon Clans scattered across with different lineages, but they all have some type of common ancestor at some point, doesn't necessarily mean Drake/Drayden are related or anything like that. The only things we know for sure is that Hassel and the Dragon Tamers seem to be siblings (which is a massive family of girls), and Lance/Clair are cousins.

These are all likely the same thing given Hassel's questline and his interaction with Drayton.

Drasna mentions that her grandparents traveled to Kalos and that they would tell her tales of a Pokemon that could control time, so she's from the Pearl Clan assumedly.

Zinnia's Clan is basically the Rayquaza Equivalent to those, so an Emerald Clan basically.

Drayden adopted Iris, so she's not naturally from the clan, that makes Raihan a possible oddity of the Dragon Trainers. Zinnia and the Draconids are exclusively from Hoenn. Drasna's family was originally from Sinnoh/Hisui. Lance/Clair are seemingly native to Blackthorne, and as another anon stated, you have to work in the actual timeline with these character ages, for instance 14-24 years have passed between Gen 1 and Gen 9, so a lot has changed over time.

Hell no, they have totally different skull shapes and facial features. Drake looks asian af with the sharp jawline and cheekbones and slanty eyes, and his rse artwork makes him look even more asian. Drayden has a white man skull; it's broad with a straight nose and huge forehead.
