>>57210296That is true, based on my sample size of two a piece the DSs are about half a brightness level brighter than the DSi XLs. It's a tradeoff however since the DS has worse viewing angles going from washed out bright to dark unless you hold it at the best angle. The DSi XL is always nice and crisp even if it's not as bright. Speaking of screen quality, both my DSs have severe yellowing around the screen, so does one of my DSi XL, the other is not as severe. The GBA SP, micro, N3DS, and N3DS XL, can also have these issues. Thankfully it is not noticeable in gameplay except for those white screens, but the future seems quite bleak. We'll be dependent on chinesium screens for the long run. Personally, I'll stay OEM until I can't play the games.
