You know giving the professor the book will result in them being ripped apart and eaten by an incomprehensible creature from another time. Arven will lose his parents. Paradox Pokémon will threaten the region.
So... WHY do you do it?
What possible reason?
Were they scared of changing the timeline, and having their own lives change? Did they literally choose befriending Miraidon/Koraidon over Arven's parents lives? Wouldn't the existence of this grandfather paradox imply the timeline had to have already been altered in the past? Do they have no free will? Would not giving the book just create an offshoot timeline where the professor doesn't die?
These are all questions that have no clear answer, neither to us nor Juliana/Florian.
No answers, yet they do knowingly hand the book over understanding Arvens parent there will inevitably die. They dont even tell Arven this happens.
Are they stupid?
