Just finished XY, I honestly enjoyed it quite a bit, though not as much as the other games I've played, those being, Gen 1-3 when I was growing up. What should I play next?

Have you tried gen 4 yet? Platinum and the gen 2 remakes are often considered some of the best Pokémon games Game Freak have ever made.

I have not. I have been told the DS games were the peak of the series. I was thinking either Gen 4 or 5. I night try Platinum next.

no berry farming,
In gen 5 there was no fishing until post game
Terrible dex
Too easy
