Y is fine
GSC is kino, the first half is entertaining enough but the 2nd half incorporates all the major characters from Kanto and Johto and completes story arcs that started off from the first volumes. It's awesome

They're all good up until BW2, but they peak with GSC arc. RS arc is my second favorite, for what it's worth. Sadly you need to read BW2 to resolve BW, but BW2's actual protagonists are so ass.
