>>57242864>To be fair, a lot of people (especially young ones who are easily influenced by peers) probably just bow down to this mentality because of the current internet climate in these kinda fandoms.Yeah, I tend to believe it's mostly this, but there's a lot of adults like that... Like, I understand we're talking about being shotacons here and it'll never be the norm and that's okay, I just wish I didn't have to be paranoid about, like, interacting with other fan fic writers I could otherwise learn something from because there's a non-zero chance they could be anti types. I'm otherwise fine with my path being a parallel line with a lot of people's and I'm very much fine with only having /Kiki/ as a community because I love you all.
>SpoilerAgree with everything you said. If I might add to this, it's pretty obvious these people don't engage with other media much, or they'd see how prevalent a lot of the stuff they find objectionable is in fiction, and that fiction may even reflect reality, and that reality may very often not be to their liking. Feels like a lot of anti types have an extremely naive view of the world, and I've sadly lost my patience with overt naivety.
>In fact I KNOW there's Kiki fans out there who can't be outspoken about their love for him because of that. And it makes me fucking sad. There's quite a few people who aren't like this, and I'll be forever grateful for them. Like, the users, Anons here or otherwise, who have commented on my fics have given me a lot of motivation to keep creating, however hard it may be. And I always do my part to encourage Anons to be out-spoken with their Kiki love here. :D
>Anyway, sorry for the rant. I'm just glad we have these threads at least. No need to say sorry Anon! I feel like I got some weight off my chest. I needn't worry about the entirety of fandom being white-washed by antis, I know it won't happen. Likewise, I'm glad we have /Kiki/ and I'll keep it going as long as I can!
