Firstly, video games with voiced dialogue have major problems with limiting the writing with whatever has been recorded, or having to schedule more recording sessions which usually isn't feasible. Secondly, video games (especially Nintendo and especially TPC's non-video game endeavors) usually have at least one dogshit dub because they can't afford to pay/schedule good voice actors, so at least one dub is going to be fucking awful. Lastly, Game Freak are having trouble fucking releasing a game that runs right, this isn't Gen 5 where they could afford the ability to have a voice actor spell shit in one song, or peak money Game Freak being able to digitize previously existing dialogue on the Game Boy (or modern consoles), hell they even cut Eevee's shit on the latter so clearly this isn't easy. Basically, there's little benefit to negative impacts on the user to massive time wasting negative impacts on the developer. Even Nintendo's best offerings are either Japanese, a miracle like Kid Icarus Uprising, or most of the Xenoblade games having solid voice acting because they took their time and hired outside standard union anime or budget voice actors (and in the cases of 2 and X the fact that one of the two factors was out of whack definitely negative impacted the voice acting).
