What should the reader's first introduction to a new character be? By that I mean any character newly introduced in the story, not necessarily an OC. How much should we know about them based on what they're doing and what they say when we first see them? Do we need to tell the audience/reader everything up front, or is unloading a whole set of interests and traits too much up front?
