Iron Bundle is Flutter Mane on Ice Skates, while Calyrex-IceRider has such insane attack, and just enough bulk, that if it lives a hit, it will secure a damn kill. Baxcalibur was unfairly banned, Chien-Pao hits like Chi-Yu but can kill Landorus, Kyurem-B has MORE attack, bulk, and speed than Calyrex-Ice, and Arceus has literally all the coverage
Ice is either Overtuned to fucking 12, or so fucking bad that it makes me wonder if coverage as a whole was a bad idea

You do gotta watch for Iron Valiant and Hatterene can be a pain if you aren't aware, but Flutter Mane and Magearna are moreso carried by their abilities and overpowering special attack than their typing. They'd be just as good if they werent fairy type.

No, because the ice type that is ou is contentious enough as is, and the only ones that, while not ou, have actual strategies to them, are the fighting weak weavile and the steel weak mamoswine and alolan ninetales, all of which are weak to the top shit in OU. You either hit the moon with them, or crash and burn on the launchpad.

it doesnt help that, for scum like you who cant think outside of the 8 gyn structure, Ice types are by and large unavailable until either the lategame, or postgame, with SV as a technical exception because while yes, you could run to Glaceado Mountain before touching anything elsez you would be massively underleveled for such an occasion.

Snow was a nice start but I think we can do more.

Drum roll please...

Bring back Frostbite, so we can rework all these ice moves with a secondary effect to something with more chances of happening. Even more, during snow instead of doing 1/16 of damage like Burn, it deoas 1/8th.

Type-chart wise, either change Ice resistence to iself to water, or add it outright.

Everything that remains is for GF to make ice types that actually play to the strenghts of the type, or that have hyper min-maxes stats and an OP ability that make up for the lackluster defensive aspect of the type.

Water and Ice resistance
Remove its fire weakness
Change Freeze to Frostbite and add it to more moves
Change the stats of its Pokemon to use it more effectively

Freeze in modern day is unironically mid, even if it had reasonable chances.

People think Freeze would be broken if you could inflict it with status move, but genuinely Paralysis and Sleep are more busted. Imagine using Earthquake and suddenly your opponent’s Pokemon is cured of their status condidtion or themselves using Earthquake.
Frostbite would be a genuine buff.

Actually good Pokemon don't care about coverage, just stacking as many sources of damage boost as possible to bypass the damage reduction of NVE entirely.
Make an ice type on par with something like Dracovish or Miraidon, and you will have a truly good ice Pokemon.

Shocking, but making multiple Pokemon that can oneshot vast majority of things with ease is not good for PvP.\ in any game, much less games where dodging is literally RNG and sometimes not even possible.
