The only postgame I have ever done was FRLG's Sevii Islands. I have never done a battle facility.

Gen 5, it was a good choice to leave almost half of the region unexplored until the post-game.
I enjoyed HGSS too, but it was my first game so I had never been to Kanto before, everything felt new and exciting. I imagine it's a different experience if you play gen 1 (or FRLG) beforehand.

My favorite thing about pokemon is exploring new areas, so what I liked the most about gen 5 is the fact that there was a large portion of the region to travel across even after finishing the main story. I really enjoyed that places like Lacunosa Town have a very distinct identity and appearance too. I won't deny that Unova has some flaws, but I can do fishing and hatching eggs after visiting every place and talking to every NPC, it's fun.

Me too. Which is why I don’t like it when the game artificially adds NPCs that stop you from exploring new areas just so gullible retards can think the game is better for having more “”””postgame””” which is really just railroaded content that could have been in the campaign.

I understand that, but it depends on your approach. To me, it's nice to have lots of places to discover once there isn't a greater goal to follow after defeating the champion. Besides battle facilities and other side quests, of course.
