It even has a final Pokémon version, which sounds more, heroic, befitting of a comeback in my opinion. Though it also has tones of 'you've almost won, just push a little more'.

I still love that chant that they added to the last leg of Sw/Sh's gym fights. It was the first time I remember really appreciating the atmosphere of a Pokemon game in quite a while.

I appreciate that S/V tried to continue it, but they made the "chant" wayyy too sing-songy to feel real.

plus it's dumb because the chant was put in SwSh as a replica of soccer stadium chants, because the whole gym stadium thing is a reference to how much the brits love their footy
because that thematic flavor is missing from SV (even though spaniards also love their footy), the chant is just a desperate attempt to rehash one of the few things that were praised from SwSh

I would've used both, the normal theme for the first half and the Successor theme for the second half.
