Inteleon is basically a glass cannon so no, but Hisuian Samurott put in work in Legends Arceus. Greninja would be the only nu starter that is actually good out of the other two in Kalos

Blastoise in the OG blue/red games.

I - young 11y.o. asperger kid - did 3 different runs with just my starter each time. Blastoise was the easiest one, and that was not close.
1- Could learn ground move (like Dig and Earthquake) against electric types (and Venusaur poison type)
2- Could learn ice moves against grass type (who was shit anyway).
He had no real blind-spot and could solo the game easily. He was also a great choice for the first gym.

Charizard was second but the first two gym were savage, and I had to be wayyy overleveled.

The Venusaur line was the shittiest one. Even with the type advantage for the 2 first gyms, his attacks were so shite that it was really hard for my stupid ass.

Eh, wasn't bad the thing was there were so many more viable water types, vaporeon, slowbro,lapras, cloyster,starmie, Gyarados; it just couldn't keep up.

Samurott in b2w2? There are other grasses early on as well as other fires (unlike in bw one). No Tympole makes Oshawott the better choice (psyduck is kinda shit). Obviously overshadowed as the game goes on but so are the other two.
