Me, people overhate them because of Dexit, but I enjoyed them way more than most of the games from Gens 4-7 because you actually got a sense of greater freedom in them, 7 in particular left such a bad taste in my mouth from all the railroading that I thought the mainlines were going down the worst path possible in making movies instead of games, so 8 was a relief for me

Pokémon is for casual people ever since SWSH, Pokémon will never be what /vp/ wants again.
You either accept dexit, trash graphics and etc or you will never have fun playing new Pokémon ganes and you're better on moving to another franchises.
Personally I already moved to new franchises, but maybe I will emulate the Switch games just so I can talk about them with my friends that are casual Pokémon fans.
