My male choice would have to be Brock. He seems to be very knowledgeable, he can cook, and to top it all off he can battle well. So he seems pretty invaluable to have as a companion. Also he's just cool.
My female choice would be Mallow. For similar reasons to Brock, but also because she's cute.
