>>57300932my guess is they just start cycling through the existing gimmicks. why bother to keep inventing new ones when there's enough now that they can bring one back for a nostalgia boost, then put it back on the shelf for a few more years, rinse and repeat. I expect gen 10 to have megas, gen 11 or 12 to have z-moves, then dynamax, Terra, cycle back to megas, and so on.
