because playing Pokemon competitively over long periods of time is a bullshit unfun experience.

I was "that" guy, yelling obscenities at every opponent I lost to. Sometimes due to my misplays and other times due to a bullshit full 5 paras in a row or other RNG nonsense.

It's called "ignore opponents", "block PMs", and "block challenges". I've had losses where I get the last laugh because cheeky fuckers ran up against those blocks and they couldn't even follow me to harass because "don"t allow spectators."

I don't rage at my opponent but one time one of their friends joined as a spectator then started harassing me and calling me bad after every turn so I told him that I had his IP and that I was gonna find and kill him. I did similar things to annoying kids on XBOX Live back in the day.

On Gen III OU ladder over the course of 4 years playing I've only encountered a handful of anyone who could be deemed a rager, and one of them is BluesEnergy00

most people just don't say anything, do the battle and then leave

sometimes people will bemoan their luck in a line or two but it's directed at the game not the foe

I only hate the hypocrisy of it, specifically when they failed to notice/recall how much I was getting lucked in the very same match they're now crying about their own misfortune

that's what pisses me off; honestly don't blame anyone for getting frustrated with the RNG robbing them because over the years after mastering the game I've now reached the point where I feel like my wins and losses rarely ever mean anything or belong to us and is instead decided by uncontrollable dice rolls and guessimg games---it's become unfulfilling and very plainly noncompetitive

The weird thing is I think they added all the PLA pokemon pretty quickly though, was it easier to rip stuff from that game or what?
