If they dropped the “go” mechanics and it was a regular mainline remake, would he have been the best Pokémon game on the switch?

Why the fuck are the Switch games so awful?
I didn't even mind the 3DS games either, I actually liked some of them, but the Switch games are actually abysmal. SV have the worst Pokemon designs I've ever seen.

No because base RBY is not enough content for a modern game

It should have, at the very least, Sevii Islands, a storyline within them, a battle facility, and 250 - 300 obtainable Pokémon.

Yeah I really think just going back and applying all the features people liked in subsequent games to Kanto would probably make the game a fan favorite. It'd be a pipe dream now but adding all the pokemon to game would be nice too. They don't have to obtainable in the wild they can just be imported with home but I think being able to have all mons on a physical cart again would be nice.

For that to be true, it would need to be compatible with gen 8 and all its mons, as well adding a bunch of new areas like the Sevii islands

1 to 1 remakes are not mainline
