These guys usually feel like chumps because I defeat them before even completing the gym leaders, BW PLA and SV had the right idea that the main story should end with the villain's defeat, becoming champion rarely felt like all that when it comes to goals, the only one that works despite this structure is Lusamine in SuMo but that is just because she is one of best villains in Pokemon
