The biggest issue with Horizons is that despite trying so hard to separate itself from the Ashnime it's also living under its shadow and ultimately also not really doing enough because the aesthetics, the world, etc are all still those of the Ashnime so even if the world is a different one, which we aren't even sure it is, it still feels like the Ashinime world, like a not-continuation of it.
A Pokemon anime will never succeed, truly suceed, unless it's given to a brand new studio and brand new people. Because at the end of the day Horizons still has the same staff as that of the Ashinme.
