Hidden Power now changes its own type to be super effective against the opposing Pokémon, prioritizing any double weaknesses of dual-typed opponents. While selecting a move, Hidden Power displays the type that it will become against the selected opponent if used that turn. If multiple types are equally effective, Hidden Power's type is chosen at random from those types. This calculation is done on each turn, so if there are multiple valid types, Hidden Power's type may vary between them each turn. Hidden Power will change to a physical or special move depending on the target's lower defensive stat, and like its type this will be shown in the menu while selecting the move. If the opposing trainer switches Pokémon after Hidden Power has been selected, the type and Physical/Special alignment will not be changed to suit the new target.
Unown can now also learn the moves Cosmic Power and Stored Power, which are two moves that also end in パワー, but not moves like Ancient Power or Secret Power since those end with ちから instead.
