I like the idea of Applin, but Flapple looks forced and Appletun doesn't even make any sense as an evo and throws the initial concept in the bin to be... pie. When apple pie is very much associated with the US and Paldea is Spain.
Hydrapple is really cool by comparison, it's about what I hoped when I initially saw Applin.
to me it felt like they shat out the original 2 evolutions and then later through whatever means realized it could be way cooler if they stuck with the original concept and someone else designed Hydrapple.
