Why include a campaign at all when there's no story to progress through? It's not like getting 8 badges and then fight the E4 and the champ is super engaging by itself because all you do is walk places and grind your mons in battles

The characters aren't ugly at all and I have no idea where this meme is coming from. The 3D style is ugly, I can agree with that, but I have no idea how people can claim that all character designs are bad
The music is good too, the only bad track is unfortunately the gym battle theme which you are forced to hear at least 8 times for obvious reasons
I liked how all regions had their own battle theme, made them feel more distinct, and it was really cool how they smoothly transitioned between the normal music and the battle music
