There's actually a pre-built deck focusing on Kangaskhan ex. However, I wouldn't recommend it. Its attack relies entirely on multiple coin flips and has a relatively hefty cost. It functions on a technical level, but it's almost certainly gonna get shit on by any half-viable deck.

I got 3 boxes of Battle Partners and managed to get most of the base set after opening one. I plan on opening at least one more box, but should I keep the last one sealed or just open it? I usually just buy singles after a certain point, but I wanted to at least try for the Lillie's Clefairy SAR so I wouldn't have to buy it.

I am someone from that era and that's exactly WHY it doesn't appeal to me. It's trying to ape something that came natural. It doesn't care about building its own identity, it would rather blatantly leech off the nostalgia of a long cherished franchise. It's all just deliberately dumbing itself down to try and emulate the sort of rough organic charm of early pokemon. The monster designs are shit. The art is shit. The card layouts are a mess. It has no multi-media tie-in to help build appeal. All it can do is copy base set and, by doing so, it only highlights what a hollow soulless imitation it is. That's why it failed and that's why it will never be remembered as anything but a fad grift.

That's a bizarre comparison. Yugioh put effort into designing and illustrating cool ass monsters. It built a functioning game that people actually enjoyed playing at the time. It presented itself with an entirely different tone than Pokemon. It came with an anime and a manga to go along with it. Metazoo has none of that. Just ugly cards desperately pretending to be Pokemon and a marketing push specifically targeted at investards wanting nothing more than the next POKEMON BASE SET. It's not even remotely comparable to Yugioh.

But hey, I genuinely don't care what you collect. By all means collect Metazoo. It's not like value matters if you actually like them. But if you're gonna come into a Pokemon thread boasting about the totally slept on not-pokemon cards you own, don't be surprised when people respond with a negative opinion.

i have like 200-300 cards up for grading. most i plan on keeping, but i will sell off some pokemon. i already have way rare cards in MZ, only thing to do now is collect whats new when it comes out. i have no faith in pokemon right now. too many people hijacked the hobby and made it near impossible to collect.

The slab itself is just plastic, anyone can make it. The label itelf is also easy it's just black standard font on white with a red border. barcode and serial need more research but once you find an umbreon code you can copy it for all your fakes.
Most of the retards who blindly buy PSA10 slop don't ever bother checking that the slab is legit, let alone the texture of the card inside.

What did I tell you? Fake PSA slabs exist and they use real numbers. You all told me I was crazy or paranoid and that you could easily spot them or that there was no way they'd use real identification numbers.
It's hard to determine whether a card is fake or not just from pictures, especially behind a glass. At least the font of the slab was different...

2 was a bit of an exaggeration, but mostly because in general I do think the androgenized designs of S&V were done with intention and are just honestly not very good, especially when compared to previous generations. It worries me for when my favorite gen gets its inevitable remake. Just glad that Legends ZA is giving some extra time for them to find their heads again before it happens.
I like most of who you mentioned, but not Mela.
Dendra could go either way. Shes kind of on the line for me with her design where I can't tell if I like it or dislike it

I like it a lot more than Sinistea, though I like a lot of Gen 8 designs, like the Dreepy line or Duraladon. Gen 9’s DLC additions were great though. Hydrapple is cool even if I like Applin and Flapple better.

If I'm collecting a certain set, I'll put one of each code card at the back on the binder. Otherwise I usually throw one code card, a trick or trade pack, and a Trainer Gallery as an added bonus to all my eBay buyers.
