there's a reason other nintendo studios regularly delay their games, but lamefreak and tpci insist on shitting out a cashgrab every year (it's either a new game or dlc, doesnt matter)
it's wild that ever since they started developing 3d games, they only took one break all the way in 2015
2021 can't even be considered a break since they were developing legends arceus and scarlet/violet
sv being such a horrendous buggy mess probably forced them to take 2024 off
the real problem is that we don't fucking need a pokeshit game every year, or even, every 2-3 years
pokefags are equally to blame for this
lgpe, swsh, bdsp, pla, sv each selling that many copies isn't giving lamefreak and tpci any reason to move away from this formula
pokefags will genuinely never get even a single good game that matches in both quality and quantity like botw
