sorry for the offtopic thread but I'm about to buy pokemon scarlet or violet and can't decide between the two. Any tips?

okay so, ignore the people talking about waifus or "don't they're shit" because they won't actually get you anywhere.
so the most deciding thing realistically is actually the raidon, the paradox pokemon, and the uniforms. since trading is stupid easy now, exclusives don't matter all too much. what matters is what you're going to see all the time. do you prefer the purple or orange outfits? do you want koraidon or miraidon as your friend? do you want area zero to be filled with robots or prehistorics? those are mostly the real changes for the story.

..personally, though, I wouldn't pay over £50 for a modern pokemon game without DLC, so if you can find violet for $45 but scarlet for $55? then I'd go for violet.

I picked Violet because I preferred the outfits, Miraidon's riding style, the professor, and was abput even in terms of Paradoxes to me, leaning towards the Scarlet ones though.

If you wanna play a romhack, I'd check out Compass or SV+

I bought Scarlet in 2022 and still I'm not dissapointed by the version I picked

The only think I miss is the dreepy line that is exclusive to Violet, In 2019 I picked shield and I regret everyday getting Avery instead of Klara
