>>57337019Sure, some of them are cool designs. I strongly believe that there shouldn't have have even been gyms or gym leaders in SV, though. They're all bad puzzles and arenas, and despite reusing the crowd chants, the battles pale in comparison to the giant crowd-filled stadiums in SwSh.
This questline is called Victory Road, so I think you should directly seek out the Elite Four, a group of other Champion-ranked trainers. There would be one in each of the four provinces, and you'd fight each one more than once.
The first time is at the sole league office of each province as marked on the map, where you're introduced to them, do a short quest, and battle them for one badge of type A. Then you later have to seek them out at an unmarked map location by piecing together environmental landmark clues from the league, Nemona, etc to battle them a second time with a stronger team of a different type B.
Once you have all 8 typed badges in hand, you can enter League HQ, whereupon your final trial is to beat the Elite Four again with even stronger teams comprising both of their previous types A and B. After that, you are awarded Champion rank directly (i.e. no Geeta battle) and can have your final showdown with Nemona.
This cuts down on the excess of (13!) characters with one personality trait each and replaces them with 4 more deeply fleshed out ones which you encounter multiple times. It also means with two types to pull from, the fights with each E4 are less of a steamroll and also means they don't have to reuse the Titans' types like they do with the current E4's teams.
As for which four I'd keep to fill those roles uhhh maybe
>Larry (West province, Normal and Psychic)>Ryme (North province, Ghost and Ice)>Rika (South province, Grass and Water>Iono I guess? (East province, Electric and Bug)
