Like I said, if they wanted ratios to be canon, EVERY starter met (both players' and NPC's owned starters) would roll for gender and not just the player's choice, to make it harder to breed starter derps to use as trade fodder (as mentioned, you're restricted to breeding males until you get a ditto and they haven't put Ditto in the early game since introducing the concept of breeding and putting it beside the daycare to encourage players to investigate the mechanic, at the very least meaning the optimum way to play is save-scum a girl to breed from they let you breed to trade for what you can't find in your game).
>>57351225There was never a chance after decidueye's failure, Sakurai waited to see the response to both Decidueye and Incineroar (as both were submitted for consideration) before deciding which was more popular, thus more value to Smash's aims (everyone returning, so there needs to be others beyond them that'll draw potential newcomers in). Can't expect it to fail behind a girly seal and gay-adjacent catman and get added to Nintendo's Marque fighting game.
