The intro takes place on a train headed to Lumiose City in the present: through the Holovox, Professor Sycamore invites us to the city. At a certain point, there is an interference, and the train experiences a jolt. When it stops, the player finds themselves in past Lumiose City. Just outside the train, between the tracks of an open-air station, you encounter a child resembling Sycamore and an older professor with gray and purple hair and a squared monocle. Between the tracks, you must catch Snivy, Litten, and Sobble. The center of Lumiose City is the only part of the city truly occupied by humans and protected from nature. There are five areas: a peripheral natural one where Mega Gogoat is found, one that transitions from mining factories to caves where Mega Gurdurr is, another full of canals connected to underground sewers where Mega Lanturn (which illuminates the darkness) is located. Then there's an area filled with buildings, both historical and under construction, where Mega Grapploct is found. Finally, there are warehouses in the outskirts containing refrigerated storage rooms. In the same area, there are abandoned buildings. Above the rooftops, there is Mega Crobat.
The Pokémon I mentioned serve as mounts and are summoned through melodies that must be found, playable via a sort of music box. With each completed area (as you resolve a human-Pokémon conflict), a new floor is added to the tower at the city's center (there are, of course, five floors). The project belongs to Team Quasar, led by a wealthy man. At the center of the city, there is an unusual Pokémon Center, represented by a café. Here, artists gather, and the owner is a red-haired woman dissatisfied with the Quasar project. She falls in love with your Holovox.
I don't know what the various characters say (1/2)
