>>57394147i went to my LCS to grab my books and a couple of these tins when they came out. i was there a few minutes after they opened but some guy was waiting there and only bought this exact tin. i think they were priced at $25 but im a loyal customer for years so he gave me them for $20.. which still felt really steep. even $15 seems a bit much.. all the other tins ive gotten in the past were around $11. they also had a single Elite treasure box or whatever it was called priced at $60 but i skipped on it.
ive been buying cards regularly since around 2018, and i remember the hype for prismatic some time in the past.. its fun but also annoying seeing a lot more people get into the "craze" again. it sucks because it makes it difficult to find packs, but that makes them that much more special to actually get and open. its funny how it works out that way.
compared to my local store having 300 packs of temporal forces and no one ever touches them. but lately EVERYTHING is selling out, no matter what set it is. stores like Target cant keep anything on the shelves for more than a day. Wal-Mart gets looted every single time as well. they dont even bother paying for the shit they just rip it open and run.
i think the worst part about this latest craze is its pushing retailes to be unethical as well, not just these grown men who are ruining it for kids... i have it both ways, i'm a grown man who grew up on pokemon but i also have a kid of my own so we both share that together. HE opens all packs and they're all his cards. and it does bother me not being able to get him just a few packs because some greedy dudes out there want to fill their closet with "investments" like, bruh.. just buy some stocks or gold coins or something.
