Not a fan of romhacks that use the latter set of sprites. The top of the head taking up 1/3rd of the sprite is silly.

RSE for sure, I never understood why the FRLG sprites are so popular with romhackers

FRLG has better UI but that's about it, RSE are better aesthetically in every other way

Neither, I skipped Gen 3 precisely for looking like a game boy game on a SNES-tier system (in the era of the Playstation 2 and Original Xbox).
