I like Victreebel. He was on my team when I played Leafgreen as a kid.
I think my Champion team was Charizard, Victreebel, Lapras, Nidoqueen, Aerodactyl, and Primeape.

Victreebel is OK, same for Bellsprout.

But Weepinbell is one I like best of the evo line.

Used him once for a Fire Red replay. Surprisingly good, countered my bias against early-game mons
>you can't get a Bellsprout in Fire Red
Gameshark. Used to plan custom teams and do casual replays that way

that episode was really funny, Jessie traded James victreebel for a weepinbell cause it knew sweet scent but then it evolves and attacks Jessie so she kicks it away meanwhile James old victreebel is attacking the guy it was traded to and gets kicked away too the two victreebel meet and the fall in love. James didn't get a new Pokemon till Hoenn with cacnea
