Shonen characters tend to be glass cannons, they can dish out a lot more than they can take.

Goku and Vegeta might be strong, but they still get tired and have to be careful not to destroy the planet they're fighting on since they need oxygen to survive

If that's they're held item, then it only works once, like a super leppa berry. If they're battling the pokemon themselves, they can't use medicine items infinitely (cause saiyans are as dumb as animals). They're getting through a hundred at most (they're moves are absolutely not Constrict level) and that's if they're using spread moves in hoard battles.
