Literally every time someone disagrees with me on 5chan they just call me a retard without further explanations. I often wonder what's up with this. Maybe the English language is seriously lacking in pejorative terms? Or maybe it's always the same anon - the "retard-caller" who is always ready to parrot his favorite word at people smarter than him.
When I confront this retard-caller about the ad hominem error, he just says "if you get called a retard that means you must be one". When he says this, he thinks he just came up with the ultimate "rekt btfod" counter-argument, but he doesnt know that I predicted it. I knew he'd say that, using those exact words.
The thing is, I'm 35 years old. I have two degrees, a job, a family, I've written a book. Then I come here and read arguments so low I didnt discuss on this level even as a 6-year-old. The crazy irony is that I might be the high IQ person here, and the average 4chan poster is - unironically - the retard. But I never call them that. I look at this sad phoneposter who keeps spamming the word "retard" thinking he wins more with every post. He could easily spend 5 hours doing this if I just stayed in the thread and gave him attention. But I never call him out on this behavior. I never call him a retard. Why? Because I'm beyond ad hominem. Because only a retard would call someone a retard.
